How the K-series crawlers inspect pipes without anyone entering them — cameras, drives, reach and reporting.
How does the PipeSolv K-series inspect pipes without entering them?
The crawler is lowered or inserted through an existing access point and driven by remote control. A forward camera streams live video while recording, so the operator sees the pipe condition in real time from ground level — no confined-space entry is required.
What pipe diameters can the crawlers handle?
The K-series covers an inspection range from DN150 to DN2000: the compact K22-C starts at DN150, the K22-B at DN190, and K20, K22 and K18 handle DN300 to DN2000 mains. Drive, camera and light modules are matched to the pipe size at quoting stage.
Do the crawlers work in live flow or standing water?
Yes — the crawlers are IP68 waterproof and can operate in light to moderate flow. Where water or sediment is heavy, we pair the survey with a pre-cleaning pass so the inspection footage stays usable.
How is the video recorded and reported?
Inspection footage is recorded to the control unit in industry-standard format. We deliver raw video plus a structured condition report with defect photos, chainage markers and repair recommendations, in the format your standards require.
