Access & Operation.
What a survey crew needs on site — access points, time, and the people it takes to run a K-series inspection.
What access points does the crawler need?
A single entry point with a clear opening of roughly 300 mm or more is enough for most K-series units. The crawler is lowered in on a winch or landing frame, so the pipe does not need to be dry or man-entry rated.
How long does a typical survey take?
A 100 m line with a single access point typically takes 30–60 minutes on site including setup, inspection and retrieval. Longer or heavily blocked lines take longer; we confirm an estimate at quoting stage.
Do we need a crew with special certification?
No confined-space certification is required because nobody enters the pipe. The control unit is designed for one operator, and we provide hands-on training and an operating manual with every unit.
